Hands holding a handwritten note that reads: You matter to me

The story

Why I started the Tell Them Now Movement

Hi, I’m Judith. My purpose is to help people see their value and give others the confidence to express what they feel.

The idea began 12 years ago at my friend Caroline’s 40th birthday. I asked everyone in the room to share one thing they loved or admired about her.

The room came alive. People wanted to speak, and most couldn’t stop at one thing. Caroline got to hear, in that moment, how much she meant to the people in her life.

Since then, I’ve shared this experience at birthdays, gatherings with friends and beside the beds of elderly loved ones. Each time, I’ve seen the power of telling someone why they matter.

Too often, we wait until the funeral to say what someone meant to us. I want us to say it while they’re here to hear it.

Tell Them Now is a movement to change that.

My mission is to reach one million people and make sharing words of love and appreciation a natural part of everyday life.

One person. One heartfelt message. One moment that reminds someone they are loved.

Don’t save your words for the funeral. Tell them now.

Words People Needed to Hear

Posting here is optional. What matters most is that they hear the words from you.

Every public message is reviewed with care before it appears.
